Founded and directed by Kasia Barbotin-Larrieu (formerly Kasia Michalski) in central Warsaw in 2015, the Kasia Michalski Gallery worked with emerging and mid-career Polish and international artists across disciplines.
 
Its programme grew out of Kasia’s academic research into the structural distance between the commercial art world and wider society, exploring how a for-profit gallery could operate while creating more open forms of access and engagement.
 
Over three years, the gallery presented seventeen exhibitions spanning painting, sculpture, photography, installation, moving image and performance, with artists including Agnieszka Brzeżańska, Agnieszka Polska, Alicja Bielawska, Angélica Teuta, Anna Zaradny, Damir Očko, Daniel Boccato, Rafał Dominik, Takeshi Murata and Ulla von Brandenburg, among others.
 
The gallery closed in 2018.
